Insurance Providers
University Hospitals Urgent Care works with most major insurance providers, including Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, Humana, Kaiser, Medicare, Tricare, United Healthcare, and more. While this page lists many of the insurance plans we accept, please note that it is not a comprehensive list.
If your insurance provider is not listed, we encourage you to contact your nearest University Hospitals Urgent Care location or email us at uhbilling@wellstreet.com to verify your coverage. If University Hospitals Urgent Care is not covered by your insurance plan, you can still receive treatment at the self-pay rate.
Please Note: We do not currently accept Anthem (Blue Cross Medicaid), Caresource Medicaid, United Healthcare Community Plan, or out-of-state Medicaid plans.
COVID-19 Update:
As of May 11, 2023, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has declared an end to the public health emergency for COVID-19. Many insurance providers have stopped waiving patient co-pays, coinsurance, and deductibles for COVID-19-related visits. Please contact your insurance company for specific details on coverage related to COVID-19 visits.

How Easy Pay Works:
- Insured patients provide a credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card at check-in.

- You’ll receive advance notice before any charges are made.
Easy Pay applies only if a balance remains.

How Much Does it Cost to Go to Urgent Care?
The cost of an urgent care visit depends on your insurance coverage and the complexity of the medical issue.
Urgent Care Costs Breakdown:
- With Insurance: Costs vary based on your plan, including co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Payment for these amounts is due at the time of service.
- Without Insurance: If your insurance is not accepted or you prefer not to use insurance, a flat self-pay rate of $205 applies.
For specific pricing on additional services such as vaccinations, lab send-outs, or medical supplies, please ask a staff member during your visit.
